The Vision Decade

I’ve been waiting for the year 2020 for a long time. Last week I told Ross that when I was about ten or eleven years old, I didn’t understand the concept of “The Class of ‘88” as it related to the year I’d graduate. Once I got it, I started calculating all of the milestones. When I realized I would turn 50 in 2020, I thought that was the coolest thing ever. And honestly, I still do.

I’d love to share some of my gratitude for the past decade as these have been the most transformative ten years in the history of my life. In 2010, I was unemployed and had been assisting Ross with running his business for five years. I was feeling more useless each and every day because my tasks weren’t lighting me up. I was absolutely miserable. I’m sure my friends heard me mention on more than one occasion, “I’m like a housewife with no kids. I’m such a loser.”

Really, this is all true.

I thought I was too old to do anything new and felt absolutely worthless.

At the end of 2012, the idea of Clear Space was literally spoken into my ear from the Universe as I had become unsettled in my own complaining and asked for help in my daily meditations. Since then, I’ve:

  • been in over 500 homes

  • designed thousands of closets,

  • helped dozens of households move

  • created beautiful friendships with my clients

  • traveled every single month for the past four years

  • learned to do handstands

  • became a surfer chick

  • written a book

If you told me in 2010 this was my future-to-be, I would have rolled my eyes, said “bullshit”, and made another round of cocktails. as partying had become my favorite pastime.

Everything is possible if you actually allow yourself to quiet the negative chatter and open up to why you are here and how you can be of service. The second I started to think beyond myself, the magic showed up.

It’s time to turn inward for Clear Space too. Our social media and newsletter will have some downtime in January as we prepare for our best year yet! Stay tuned for the book launch and release dates coming soon!

I am so grateful for you and I wish you a beautiful and blessed new decade, new year and new YOU!

xoxo
