Why I Love Thanksgiving

This time of year gives me all the feels because it's a time to gather with friends and family without the obligation of gift-giving. When I’m visiting friends and family, I love to make a side dish or pie, or if I’m short on time I can bring a bottle of wine or some beautiful cheeses to share. To me, experience gifts are the best gifts because they rarely if ever become clutter in someone else’s life. With the holiday season right around the corner and Black Friday madness almost in full swing, check out this week's tip on how to capture the embodiment of your Thanksgiving.

Pro Tip:

If you don’t already have one, it’s never too late to start a new tradition. Grab a journal, mark this year’s date and while folks are chowing down on their pumpkin pie, pass it around. Ask everyone to write down one thing they are grateful for this holiday season and why.  Continue doing this each year to have something to look back on for years to come. It may become a meaningful heirloom for the grandkids to cherish one day. When you pack away your cornucopia salt and pepper shakers, you can pack the journal with it to avoid seasonal clutter!
