Step 3: Shopping Habits

I noticed many years ago that I could talk myself out of any purchase. I had had an epiphany that most purchases were unnecessary, I was killing time, bored or sad. It was a distraction from whatever mood I was in, but it was short term pleasure. The anticipation of purchasing is far more pleasurable than actually having it. This is another step involving observation and questioning.
